In September I had the chance to try a couple of InstaNatural’s hair products, which I was really impressed by and continue to use. When the opportunity arose to try two of InstaNatural’s skin care products I therefore jumped at the chance. I was kindly sent the InstaNatural Dead Sea Mud Face Mask* and the InstaNatural Eye Gel* to try.

If you have been following my blog for a while you will know that I’m all about finding healthier, more natural products. I realised I was being so careful about what I ate and drank but was neglecting to think about what I was actually putting on my skin. Organic, natural skin care by InstaNatural was therefore right up my street.

InstaNatural Dead Sea Mud Mask

This is a 100% natural, mineral-infused mask that can be used once a week on the face or as a body treatment. As the name suggests it contains pure Dead Sea mud, which is a natural detoxifier and purifier comprised of numerous minerals that are beneficial to the skin. This includes magnesium, sodium, bromine, potassium and calcium. The mask also contains organic shea butter, organic sunflower oil, organic aloe vera juice, organic vegetable glycerin, organic jojoba oil, hickory bark extract, organic calendula oil, filtered water and xanthan gum.

InstaNatural Dead Sea Mud Mask
It is a thick, gloopy mask but you only need to apply a thin layer to your skin, being careful to avoid your eyes and lips. It’s easy to apply and, despite how it looks, it feels really nice on the skin. The mask absorbs excess oil, dirt and toxins from the skin. It claims to be a good treatment for spots and acne (neither of which I have issues with, apart from the occasional pimple) and restores an even skin tone for a smoother complexion.

Given the mask contains magnesium– not only is it good for the skin when used as a body treatment– it can also help to relieve aches and pains too.

Overall I really liked this mask. I have used it twice and both times it felt like a proper pamper session. I had a soak in the bath while I left the mask on for around 15 minutes to work its magic. It leaves my skin feeling super soft and I have to agree with its claim– it does leave my complexion looking more even. I am impressed by this product and would highly recommend it. I feel the 19oz tub would last quite a long time so it’s good value for money too.

InstaNatural Express Youth Eye Gel

I was really excited to try this product as it claims that it helps to reduce dark circles under the eyes. As anyone with chronic fatigue will appreciate, I have terrible dark circles that I really hate.

This product contains hyaluronic acid, plant stem cells, amino acid complex, peptide complex and matrixyl 3000. It is claimed these help to reduce puffiness and dark circles and act to hydrate, firm and plump the skin.

It’s recommended that the product is used morning and night and as well as an eye treatment, it can also be used all over the face and worn under make-up. It’s quite a runny gel and a little bit goes a long way. I feel the pump dispenses too much product and I only use a small amount.

To begin with I used this around my eyes only. I can’t claim that it has cleared the dark circles from under my eyes, but they are definitely less puffy and I feel the dark circles have reduced a little. However, I then decided to try the gel on my forehead to see if it would help with a particularly stubborn area of dry skin. Not only did it help with that but it also reduced the appearance of the fine lines on my forehead. I was amazed!!! I have since been using the gel on a few other lines on my face that I dislike and it has helped to reduce those too. I am super impressed by this product and both my mum and husband have been commenting on how well I look recently. This admittedly probably isn’t completely down to the product as I have been feeling well these past couple of weeks but, along with the face mask, the ‘Youth Express Eye Gel’ has most definitely helped to improve the appearance of my skin.

I would recommend both of these products and I love knowing that I am doing my skin good when I use them.

What are your thoughts? Would you be interested in trying the ‘InstaNatural Dead Sea Mud Face Mask*‘ or ‘InstaNatural Eye Gel*‘?

Hello, I'm Donna. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 2013 and started this blog shortly after. After my health declined significantly the following year, I decided to become my own advocate and searched for answers. It took two years but, in 2016, I finally discovered I had Lyme Disease. On February Stars, I share my personal journey back to better health; discussing what has helped me and the mistakes I've made along the way. I also cover topics on self-improvement, managing symptoms and living life to the fullest with chronic illness.

  1. The mask looks/sounds really good, think I’ll have to try it out! Love the idea of it evening out your complexion.
