When do we collect information?
We collect information from you when you subscribe to our newsletter, respond to a survey, fill out a form or enter information on our site. Additionally, information is collected via cookies when you surf this website as detailed in the “Do We Use ‘Cookies’?” section below.
What personal information do we collect from the people that visit our blog?
Information You Voluntarily Submit:
If you comment on a blog post by filling out the ‘write a comment’ form, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also your IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. The comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

Your name, URL and comment are published in the comments section of the blog post but your email and IP address remain private and are not publicly displayed.
There is also an option to opt-in to subscribe and receive email notifications when someone replies to your comments.
If you do not want this information to be collected you can refrain from commenting on this blog. If at any time, you would like your comment to be removed from the blog or subscription to comments to be removed you can request this by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you decide to sign-up to our email newsletter your name and email address are collected by MailChimp who we use to send our newsletters. You will be asked to consent to receiving these emails before you are added to our mailing list. MailChimp will hold this information for the duration that you are subscribed to our email list.

Occasionally, giveaways are held on this blog where you can enter into a raffle to be in with a chance of winning a prize donated by a sponsor. Entry information is collected by Rafflecopter and used in connection with the giveaway only. Data collected includes your name, email address and social media handles (if applicable).
Rafflecopter also collects IP addresses to ensure there are no duplicate entries. This is to prevent multiple entries from the same person, ensuring the giveaway is fair.
